Friday Favorites - Mother's Day Edition

Happy Friday, Friends!

Erika, Narci and I are sharing our FAVORITES this week and we hope that you link up and share yours as well!

First up on my list of FAVORITES is Teacher Appreciation Day.  Here are a couple of the sweet things I got from students.  How cute is this little chapstick holder keychain. And look at the "bee-ing" part.  So clever!

These were amazing.  And I'm emailing her mom this weekend for the recipe.  ;)

But this was by far my FAVORITE gift this week.  I mean! ;)

I've been loving house shopping, but the shower curtain for the kids bathroom has had me stumped.  I found this one at Target and LOVE IT!  The bathroom is coming together in my head and may be my new FAVORITE :)

Getting a new planner is my FAVORITE and I was so excited when my new mid-year edition from Whitney English showed up in the mail this week.  I'll have a more detailed review and info up next week, but for now check out the super fun cover!

They sent me a copy to review (THANK YOU!!!) and share, but you can order your own mid-year edition starting next Wednesday.  Click HERE for my copy.

We also got to work with another one of our FAVORITE companies, Springfree Trampoline, this week on something SUPER awesome they have coming up next week.  Thing video game meets trampoline - it's so cool!!!

And these two in an interview?!?! Priceless. hahahaha

And speaking of priceless, GG Joy in little Nike shorts???  Dying.

Mason brought home some awesome art this week - two of my FAVORITES were this vase with flowers...

... and this self portrait from earlier in the year (it's been in his portfolio).

Mason is signed up for an art camp at school this summer and he is so excited!  I can't wait to see what he does - our art teacher is AMAZING!!!

I know before long it will be super hot and these pretties will be long gone, but for now, the touch of pink when I get home is my FAVORITE.

My FAVORITE hoodie company, Evystree, is having a Mother's Day sale this weekend with a percentage of sales going back to their local women's shelter, The Living Room.  Some of my FAVORITE pieces (like the Janelle) are marked waaaaay down!

Check out my sweet girl cuddled up in her FAVORITE blanket and sleeping bag :)

Ivy Jane has been one of my FAVORITE brands for a long time - their pieces are unique and special and always garner lots of compliments.  I was so excited to find out that they've started a new line called Cousin Earl and y'all... everything is so cute!!!  They're a local Dallas company which I love as well!  I got to pick out a piece to review and after a lot of debating with myself, I settled on the Floral Godet Tunic and couldn't be happier!

The colors are vibrant, the top is flowy and the detailing is intricate and beautiful.

It was SUPER windy when I was trying to grab a couple of pictures, but I think that actually showcases the flowiness of the top...

... or at least that's what I'm telling myself :) hahaha

You can win a Godet Tunic of your own (WOO HOO!!!)  today on my Instagram!  Be sure to head HERE for a chance to win!  And be sure to check out all the other cute tops, dresses, pants and accessories offered by Cousin Earl HERE!

Another FAVORITE from the week was receiving Mother's Day Gifts from my sweet boys!
Luke made me an awesome card and fabric covered tile coaster...

... and inside the card.  Please note what he wrote on the bottom :)

And then look at what Mason said about me :)

Apparently they like my cookies :) hahaha

This video made me smile and I've watched it at least three times.  Mamas boys are my FAVORITE.

And don't EVEN get me started on this video.  Get your tissues ready, mama!

"I don't know of a more uttered or whispered phrase from a mother of any age, about her child of any age, than 'It's going by too fast.'  I feel like I spend my life trying to slow time.  Trying to celebrate the growth and milestones of my children, and then secretly daydreaming about building a time machine in my garage, so I can return to rocking my babies at midnight.  If you've ever looked at your child running across a field, or striding across a graduation stage, or walking down the middle aisle of a church clutching a bouquet, you'll know why this song is special to me.  Please enjoy the video below, remembering the moments we wish we could sow down, and sharing then with those we love most." - Nicole Nordeman

I hope your weekends are wonderful, girls!  Full of time with your kids and your moms and lots and lots of your FAVORITE things!

  1. Oh, I LOVE magic bars! They are fattening, but SO good. You can find the different recipes online; some use semi-sweet chocolate chips instead of butterscotch chips. And I'm not a huge coconut fan, so sometimes I make them without. It's easily customizable to your liking.

  14. That video! Yeah, ugly cried at work. I'll be honest: we've been having a TOUGH year with Elle. Timehop showed me her two-year old pictures this morning, and I told my husband, "I wish she were still that cute and little." I know 4 is still little, but the "baby" in her has gone. It's been hard for me to even think of her as cute or pretty lately because it has just been so. difficult. But, I try to remind myself that, as tough as this past year has been, it's going by SO QUICKLY. In just a minute, she'll be grown and we wont remember how tough it was. #relishthecharmsofthepresent

  16. The kids love the cookies - so sweet! I have cried everytime I've seen that special little video and my little is just 7.5 months old. Is it crazy that it makes me feel nostalgic for all the little things that I know are coming?
