Weekend Recap - Whirlwind Edition

This weekend was a WHIRLWIND!  Friday our house went on the market, so we spent the morning getting things ready (window washer, carpet cleaner, last minute organizing, etc.) and then Mason for invited to play at his friends house and Luke and I got to enjoy lunch on the patio at the club.  It was a GORGEOUS day and we got to watch a mama goose with her goslings by the lake.  So fun!

While Luke and I were doing some preliminary furniture shopping I got these pictures from Mason's playdate :) hahaha

Cuties!!!  The sweet family is HUGE TCU fans and it took them about an hour and a half to have Mason giving frog fingers and yelling "Go FROGS!" hahaha

Friday afternoon/evening we had house showings, so the kids and I ate dinner out and then headed home in time for bedtime.

Saturday morning Griffin had dance class and it was one of her classmates birthdays so they celebrated with donuts :)  Is there anything cuter than teeny ballerinas eating donuts?!?!

No.  The answer is no.

After dance we met up with the boys and headed to Dave's Granny's 94th Birthday party!

We had breakfast food, cake and played UNO, dominoes and rummi kub :)

It was a sweet morning celebrating Myrtle!

We had a ton of showings on Saturday and had to stay away from home, so we dropped Luke off at my parents house and then Griffin, Mason and I drove about 20 minutes to a birthday party.  They were both SOUND asleep in the car when we got there and when I tried waking them up Griffin made this face...

... her face pretty much sums up all of our moods at this point.

Thankfully, a ball pit and cake was enough to cheer everybody up :)

It was a Star Wars party and how ADORABLE was his cake?!?!

Where is Mason???  Hanging out with all the girls :)

A little nervous about the rope tunnel... but she did it!  #getitgirl

William's mom had these super cute R2D2 hats that I thought were precious!

It was such a fun afternoon!  Look at all those cuties :)

And look how cute these little besties are :)

We drove home and I stopped in at the club to grab a salad because there were showings at our house... seeing a theme here? hahaha

I wore this cute off the shoulder top/dress with these skinny jeans and loved the look.  Casual and comfortable!

Sunday morning we did church and then headed to the club to eat lunch and wait out a few more showings.

As we were leaving I thought I'd take the opportunity for a group picture...

... and this is what Griffin thought of my idea ;)

hahahaha

When you have to drive around while you wait for showings and Starbucks is close by...

We ended the day at home (hallelujah!!!) with birthday cake and my parents.  #amen

And here's a quick video of some of our weekend shenanigans ;)

And since we're talking weekends, you should probably go ahead and mark your calendar for next weekend...

I am sooooooooo excited!!!  Seriously.  Come twirl with us and shop for a wonderful cause ;)
Let me know in the comments if you plan on coming!!!

Happy Tuesday, friends!!!

  2. Having to be gone from your house for showings is the worst! That being said, it looks like you guys maximized your time and did loads of fun things! Can't wait until Saturday morning!

  5. It's awesome that you had so many showings for your house this weekend! Is that because buying homes in your area is in high demand? Where I live, sometimes a house will sit on the market for months before a showing. Hoping it sells soon!

    1. I ordered several sizes and ended up with one size down... but after wearing them I'm kind of wishing I'd gone down an additional size because they stretch. They're like wearing PJs though! Sooooo comfy!

  11. I hope your home sells quickly and sounds like it will with all the showings. Our house went on the market last week too but we've only had one showing. It's a smaller, older home in a rural area though. We don't have another house yet, we are planning to build and rent once our house sells. Best of luck and I can't wait to see the new place!

  14. Such sweet photos! We are preparing to put our first home on the market in the next couple of months, so I'm looking forward to hearing about your move with littles. What did you do with your dog for the showings? We were told that we should remove all evidence of pets (beds, cage, food bowls tucked away), so I'm curious.

  18. While it was likely exhausting and frustrating, it is SO SO great that you had so many showings. Not all markets are like that nowadays. Congrats and drink lots of coffee - good luck on a swift offer/closing! :)

  20. Looks like you had a good wknd. Your house is on the market? I hope it sells quickly!! I was looking your Show and Tell list, and it looks like you skipped another week? You have April 19, then the next one isn't until May 10. Just wondering if you were/are aware :) I love the SATTs, even thought I don't participate in them every time. I just saw the Let's Talk for this month...I might join in.
