Easter Baskets and Outfits

Today I'm answering your requests for Easter ideas for baskets and outfits!  I have to be honest - I LOVE coordinating outfits.  Weird, yes.  But so much fun!!!  I went with a variety of palettes and tried to put lots of options for coordination for siblings and parents.

You can click on the pictures to go directly to the websites.

Boden always rocks with prints and this season did NOT disappoint.  I'm loving the color combo and print mixing possibilities and all of these pieces will go long beyond Easter Sunday.

I based this combo off of the PRECIOUS gingham girls dress because I love how classic and fun it is.  Your family will definitely be set apart in this unexpected color combo.  Also, throw in a few touches of red and you're set for Memorial Day and July Fourth.

I feel like this is a classic Easter color palette and I'm loving the subtle tones of the blush and mint.

If you're not afraid of a pop of color then this ones for you :)  The bright pink is bold and cheery and the print on the first dress is awesome.

I LOVE Matilda Jane, and with lots of prints going on for the girls I like to stick to solids for the coordinating boys pieces.  GAP shorts are some of my favorites for my boys and they wear them all summer long.

I like to keep our baskets simple and practical.  Three or four items that the kids will get excited about on Easter morning.  We do baskets from me and Dave - the bunny brings eggs later in the afternoon.

I think that throwing some practical Spring/Summer items (sidewalk chalk, a bathing suit, bubbles, etc.) gets everyone excited for the new season and while I like to put a few "eastery" things in there (i.e. Reese's eggs) I don't necessarily stick to all things bunny and pastel.

I separated the list into boys and girls, but lots of the items would be great for both genders.

  2. I don't have to buy my kids Easter outfits this year...and that makes me breathe a HUGE sigh of relief! Why is coordinating Eater outfits so stressful?!?! It just is!

  6. I saw on instagram earlier where someone filled an open umbrella with goodies instead of a basket! It was so cute and something the kids would prob love and actually could get used throughout the year!

  10. Love coordinating outfits, always. When I was married, I'd coordinate the 3 of us just to go to a family function. As for Easter, I go overboard(which is a theme with me)

  12. Love the coordinating outfits AND the Easter basket ideas. Coordinating outfits for family pictures always about does me in. I am just not a natural at it and it takes me forever. We have maternity pictures coming up in a few weeks for baby #3 and I want some shots of the whole family, so I need to get on it for my outfit search. Thanks for the ideas!

    1. so fun! I typically pick Griffin's outfit first (because it usually has the most colors) and then go from there. I try to keep pattern to a minimum for pics and layers always look great in pics. Have fun!!!

    1. Hey! I think you may be "hovering" over the image and the Pinterest P pops up on the pic like you want to pin it. Make sure you're off center a bit and not seeing the letter P on the pic and then click. Let me know if that doesn't work!

    2. Okay - I just tried it :) When you click on the pic don't click on the Pinterest icon and you should be good!

  19. Loving this post-because I need to think about this now-usually I'm waiting til the last minute for outfits and Easter basket items. I also love to put summer items in their baskets-they're getting too old for chalk now, but sunglasses, a bathing suit, new beach towel or beach hat if they need those. A book, toothbrush, and MINIMAL candy, as their getting older they're appreciating little gift cards to Starbucks or iTunes. :)
