Weekend Recap - Almost Thanksgiving Break Edition

Happy Monday, Friends!  We're ready for one last week before a WHOLE WEEK off for Thanksgiving break! Can I get an amen?!?! ;)

Friday morning was FANTASTIC outside.  PERFECT poncho weather ;)

The boys had their fun run and so they got to wear comfies to school.  Mason picked out his ensemble himself and his teacher texted me this picture mid-morning :)

In between classes I got to go down to the field to watch Pre-K through 2nd grade start their laps.

Awkward wave, anyone???

Look how thrilled he is to see me!!! :) hahahaha

Meanwhile, Griffin hung out with our headmaster :)

And they're off!!!

Cheering squad!

After the lower school ran, it was time for middle and high to do our color run.

That afternoon the boys hung out with friends and I worked on Christmas cards and then it was time for Pizza Friday, jammies and a movie.  YES!

But before the boys and I could watch a movie, it was time for some books and a bottle for kitty.

Saturday morning Griffin was ready for dance.  I had a green coat picked out for her, but she insisted on the vest.  She is JUST starting to have an opinion on clothes/accessories and I love it!

The funniest part was that she didn't want to take the vest off in class :)  So there were all these sweet little ballerinas and my child in a giant faux fur and all black. hahaha  #trendsetter

Luke and Dave were at soccer pictures, so these two and I stopped off to pick up a few groceries and a few donuts.

Bossy much? :)

Saturday afternoon I did exciting things like wash sheets (sigh) and since I was replacing bedding anyway, I MAY have snuck some Christmas fun onto our beds.

No sooner had I made the bed than I found this guy snuggled up in it.  Flannels will do that to ya.

While the littles were napping, Luke was down at Gibi and Haha's house learning to ride his bike!  Yes, we've slacked in the bike riding department - but I feel like it was almost to his benefit because it took him one try to figure it out.  Thankful for Facetime so I would watch him do his thing!!!

We ended the night with baths and snuggles - as it should be :)

Sunday morning Mason insisted on wearing his sweatbands to church.  Why not.

I went to pick GG up and saw these two cuties playing together! LOVE these little besties!

Sunday afternoon I spent working, grading and playing.  Griffin and I took some post-nap selfies to cheer her up and then it was time for AWANAs and dinner.

Mason has become quite the little artist.  It's what I find him doing every day after school when I pick him up from ESS and it's probably the number one activity he asks to do at home.  He loves to draw designs and color them in.  I love to watch his sweet little creative process.

Sunday night Haha came over and he "popped" with GG :)  She likes to hop back and forth across the kitchen, but she calls it popping.  So cute!

They read books...

... and then this happened :)

I spent the rest of my night wrapping up a few more card orders, blogging and getting some lessons prepped for this week.

This week we're looking forward to Grandparent's Day and getting our our Christmas decorations!  What are y'all looking forward to this week?

Don't Forget!  Tomorrow we're linking up here to Show and Tell about Service Projects and Organizations that we're involved with!

Happy Monday, Friends!!!

  6. I'm *way* past you in the child-rearing stage, but I too had 2 boys and then a girl so I can relate to the desire to dress the daughter in all the bows and frills. It was so much fun - until she started expressing her own wishes, and it was NOT bows and ruffles but jeans and T's. :-) But never fear - she has grown into a fashionista with a GREAT sense of style, working at Nordstrom. I have my very own stylist. Enjoy that little girl...and the boys!

    1. Hahaha. I think she tends to be the "star of the show" because she's pretty much my shadow :) And as the boys get older and less willing to snap pics for me I tend to respect that. HAve a great week!!!

  10. I would love to know more about your parents nicknames. How do you pronounce Gibi? And are there special meanings behind the names Gibi and Haha? I have never seen either one before.

  18. I feel like you accomplish sooooo much in one weekend. Are you running around your house to accomplish everything?! Impressive! I need to learn to be more productive.

  19. Sean and Lia - I think that maybe I'm just a good multitasker? Since I'm at work during the week I kind of have to be super productive on the weekends.
