Favorite Things Party - Hair Products Edition

Happy Memorial Day!
I hope that you're enjoying a special day with your family and that you're able to take some time to reflect on the sacrifices made by servicemen and women.

"They do not need our praise.  They do not need that our admiration should sustain them.  There is no immortality that is safer than theirs.  We come not for their sakes buy for our own, in order that we may drink at the same springs of inspiration from which they themselves drank." Woodrow Wilson

Now on to today's link up!

I am super low maintenance when it comes to my hair routine and products.  This is it...

My hair is typically fairly dry and so I usually only wash it a couple of times per week.  I've used lots of different shampoos and always come back to Pantene.  I love how clean the aqua light leaves my hair and the smell is my favorite.

I only started using MoroccanOil back in February when I had my hair cut and then donated it.  The stylist used it on my hair and I loved how shiny and smooth it made it without adding weight and/or oil.  I have insanely thick hair, and so I usually towel dry it, blow dry it about half way and then add in the moroccanoil.

I use a cheap, $15 blowdryer from Wal-Mart that I've had for YEARS, but it's finally starting to bite the dust.  And by bite the dust I mean it smells like burning. #notgood While writing this post I pulled the trigger on on this BabyBliss blow dryer that's been hanging out in my Amazon cart.  It's 50% off right now and has GREAT reviews.  If it can cut down on my drying time it will be well worth it.  Do any of y'all have this one?  Opinions???

I use a phi flat iron and have for several years and have no complaints about it.

Now, about my summer hair products.... it's a little secret called a hat :)

But seriously though.  In and out of the pool, running around with my kids, etc. a hat is my saving grace.

Last summer it was this hat on repeat...

And this year, I've added a little variety to my collection.

Every tie in the past that I've mentioned my Judith March hats, they're sold out everywhere.  So GOOD NEWS!  These (and several other styles!) are both available (links are below).

Judith March Y'all Cap  Judith March Texas Patch Cap

And I came across this monogram hat on Facebook a couple of months ago, and ordered it because the price was right - and while the monogram quality is GREAT (I love a big monogram!) it did take a while to get in.  The fit is a little less "girly" than the Judith March hats, but overall it will be great for just running around in this summer.

So now it's your turn!  What hair products should I know about and/or be using?  What's your go-to and why?

Enjoy your day, friends!!!

  1. Happy Memorial Day! If you are not sold on the hair dryer you bought I would definitely recommend this one - http://www.amazon.com/John-Frieda-Full-Volume-Dryer/dp/B004YZMKKU. Over the past couple of years I have recommended it to 4-5 people that love it. It's relatively inexpensive but does a great job!

    1. When I try my hair at home it typically takes me 30+ minutes, but when a stylist does it it takes about half that time. I've always assumed that it was because I just stink at blow drying, but the better dryer makes more sense :) hehehe

  10. I feel like we are hair twins! I have SUPER thick, coarse hair. Use Pantene religiously and recently started using Moroccan oil after donating 10 inches! To top it all off, I JUST ordered a monogram hat too! Love the Judith March hats, I'll have to see if she has an Ohio one!
