Happy Friday, Friends!!! It's been a wild and crazy week around here and I can't believe it's already Friday... granted we missed two days of school, but still :)
Don't forget that if you're linking up with us today - just grab our graphic, link back to me (or Narci or Erika) and share about your Friday Favorites!!!
First up on my list of favorites are these cute Easter finds from Wal-Mart! Yes, Wal-Mart!
These little bunnies were soooooooo cute and I felt like they were well worth $6. One came home with me and I can't wait to put him out for Easter. If you're running through Wal-Mart this weekend be sure to pick one up! I think adding this next to a little Mason jar with jelly beans would be so cute and festive on an entry or side table.
And speaking of Spring.... my new FAVORITE polish is this one by Essie!
Y'all know how much I love Hippie Chick Boutique... well, this week she got in the cutest tunics/dresses. I wore mine yesterday and several of my students declared it their FAVORITE outfit I've ever worn. I'll take it! ;)
I paired it with these boots (this is the first time I've been able to find them in all sizes online!! I can't say enough great things about them!) and sweater tights and I think it will look great as a top with white linen pants in the spring! This tunic is sold out, but I'm going to be showing y'all lots of new ones that she's getting in soon!
Another FAVORITE is my new GWIPPIN bracelet that I ordered from my Stella and Dot show a couple of weeks ago. In case you're new here - you can read about Gwippin HERE.
And since we're talking about Stella and Dot.... I'm loving all of these necklaces! (evidenced by the fact I am wearing them all at the same time). hahaha
Mrs. Boese teaches with me (she's the Science teacher) and she's one of Mason's FAVORITE people ever! She has three teenage boys and when she finds things they don't use anymore she gifts them to my boys. Like - we wake up on Saturday mornings to boxes of plastic dinosaurs on our doorstep :) Well, yesterday she gave him what might be his FAVORITE present yet... skeleton gloves. hahaha
Since I kind of flaked out on sharing a recipe for Recipe Club on Tuesday I thought I'd share one of my kiddos FAVORITE (and super easy) meals... breakfast casserole!!!
You'll need 1 tsp dry mustard, about 1.5 cups of shredded cheddar (or, like me, whatever amounts you have left in your fridge), 1 lb of browned sausage, 6 eggs, 2 cups of milk about 5-6 slices of bread.
Spray a 9x13 with cooking spray and then tear up a bunch of bread to cover the bottom of the pan. I'm pretty sure my original recipe called for 3 pieces, but this is 6.
Sprinkle the browned sausage over the bread and then top it with cheese. I had a few random bags with little bits left, so it ended up being about 1.5 cups.
Whisk 6 eggs, pour in 2 cups of milk mixed with 1 tbsp dry mustard and whisk it some more.
Pour the egg/milk/mustard mixture over the top and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
It comes out cheesy and bubbly and delicious. I served it to my kids last night for dinner with a yogurt, strawberries and milk. Easy and done. :)
Up last is the second release of Matilda Jane's Spring collection! MJ is my FAVORITE! You can submit wishlists online starting on Sunday! If you haven't shopped MJ before (and have no clue what a wishlist is) shoot me an email and I'll walk you through the process! Look at the cuteness!!!
I know I said MJ was last, but then I found these on my computer :) This was Valentine's Week and I snapped these as Dave was heading back in to work. LOVE!!! These pics are my FAVORITE ;)
I'm cheering a group of amazing students on at Math Olympics today and then am looking forward to a slow paced weekend at home with my peeps. Next week is going to be CA-RAZY and so we're all going to rest up. Enjoy your weekend, friends!!!
Love your jewelry and that outfit with those boots! So cute! And what cute Easter decor from WalMart...I found a similar wreath from Meijer of all places a few years ago - and it's my fave Easter wreath now! Hey, for some reason the past few Fridays the pics/links aren't coming up on your post unless you click into the inlinkz...wondering if I'm doing something wrong? Happy Friday! -Jess
ReplyDeleteI love finding great decor items in unexpected places! I think that MAYBE the issue with InLinkz is the length of my post???? And then with all the thumbnails it maybe makes it too long for bloggger??? I noticed it, but haven't had a chance to look into it. BOO!! ! I lov the thumbnails!
DeleteI just started reading your blog a few months ago so I knew he called her Gwippin but I had not read that post which is ridiculously cute! Their relationship is very similar to my two sons' relationship. My younger son totally adores my older son but my older son either loves the attention or hates it :)
ReplyDeleteIf you're on instagram, be sure to look at the #gwippin hashtags :) There have been some good pics since my post :)
DeleteHappy Friday :)
ReplyDeleteThose Walmart finds are awesome. Breakfast casserole looks delish. have a nice weekend :)
Thanks, Jen! You too!
DeleteWhen I saw the title of this post, I thought you'd gotten a bunny to play with Jack Bauer!!
ReplyDeleteOh, girl. I do not need one more thing to feed at my house! :) Did you know we have a turtle???
DeleteYour students are right! CUTEST OUTFIT EVER!!!!!! Seriously, love it! And once again, love the hair!

DeleteYour post has me ready for spring! Eeks! And listen, I know I say this like every day...but I'm still so in love with your hair :).
ReplyDeleteBecause Spring means summer which pretty much means Halloween is here :) and thank you!!! Even though I'm STILL ticked that you kept moroccan oil a secret for so long I'll totally take the compliment. hahaha
DeleteLOVE the bunny.. I am going to have to go to Walmart today! :) I also want to try the recipe this weekend, I think my family will love it. I love reading your blog each day! Have a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteThat is my favorite breakfast casserole except I add one can of Rotel to the egg mixture.
ReplyDeleteOoooh!!! That sounds DELISH!
DeleteAndrea,
ReplyDeleteI adore your blog, and I hope you can give me some advice. You see, I want to start a blog as well, but, honestly, the thought terrifies me! You may ask why...well, I am a teacher like you. I know you teach at MCA ( I am in Plano)I know you are a private school,, but you put so much out there...kids pics, your personal children coming to school to bring you tea, you and the teachers being mischievous, and I just wonder do you ever get a negative comment? I have TWO sets of twins(I know,I know...my ob/gyn declared me very fertile as they are 11 months apart!!!! As you can imagine, we were so surprised, but I am super blessed!), and they are older now, but they could have never been on campus like your kiddos. I, like you, also have a surprise girl! She came 4 years after the last set of twins. Also, you mention Dave's work, and it's tough parts but also the perks, ie, free food. Is that allowed? My husband is a doctor, and I cannot even begin to mention anything about his job for fear of ramifications, which I understand. Any advice would be appreciated. I am not much older than you (34)but my four boys (Benjamin, Alex, Kevin, and Mark) are 11 and 10, and sweet Courtney Rose is 6. I desperately want to get something going... Please help! You are an inspiration!!! Looking forward to what you can share! You are soooo lucky!
Hey! As far as starting your own blog goes - I'd say share what you feel comfortable sharing about. When my kids come up during passing period or lunch, my principal has zero problem with it (in fact, Dave and my kids will stop in and say hey to him on their way out) and I think sharing about how my co-workers and I goof around is fun and endearing and not a "secret" at all :)
DeleteAs far as Dave's job - I've never shared anything that would lead to any "ramifications" because everything he does is above board. When we swing through and pick up grilled cheese for our kids or go to brunch we pay for that food... if that's what you were referring to. I can see not blogging about your husbands career because of patient confidentiality and all of that - but, obviously, Dave's career is completely different. ;)
I hope this answered your questions! When you do start your blog be sure to let me know so I can go check it out... and if you have more questions feel free to send me an email! (Dave-and-andrea@hotmail.com)
I hope this comment works as my others haven't been.
ReplyDeleteI love everything about this post! The pics of G with her daddy are so cute and I will Def be making that casserole. I have a tater tot one that I have to share with you
Also may I send you some free Jamberry samples for your nails? I think you would love them :)
Thanks!!
Tracy (aka MomofTwoSalums)
Thanks, Andrea! I appreciate your answers. I apologize because I assumed you were getting perks with Dave's job. When you said being in the food and beverage industry had its benefits, I was under the assumption that you were getting a deal. I was wrong and very sorry! I will say you are very, very blessed to be able to have your children visit even if it as at a passing period. That fact that you can post Mason with your students on the web is just wonderful. Your school environment must be ahhhhmazing! Envious for sure! Appreciate the time you took to answer my questions. You are SO open. It is refreshing. Take care!
ReplyDeleteI am totally checking the Walmart Easter section out now. Wow! And I love the Gwippin bracelet....I have a leather hand stamped bracelet that says "I love you and I like you and I love you so much" because that's what my 4 yr old used to say to me when I tucked him in every night. He stopped saying it months ago, so I'm glad I preserved it on jewelry!! Oh, and both of my boys have those skeleton gloves and where them ALL. THE. TIME. Did you know they have super powers? Hahahaha ;)
