Recipe Club - Smoked Sausage Penne

LINKY TOOL NOW WORKING ON THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST!!!

It's Recipe Club day!!! YAY!!!  I am so looking forward to seeing everyone's yummy recipes!

When I was trying to figure out what I wanted to share with y'all this month, it was rainy and dark and cooler than usual and so I opted to make a "Fallish" recipe.  This is a BIG HIT with my family - and so I was actually making a double batch - so ignore my giant quantities.

You'll need...
1 lb Smoked Sausage (I use turkey)
1 cup mozzarella
1 1/2 cups cheddar french fried onions
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 1/2 cup milk

First, slice up all the sausage...

I always pour a little bit of water in a skillet, bring it to a boil and then simmer the sausage covered while I wait for the pasta to cook.

Cook two cups of penne according to the package directions.

While the pasta is cooking and the sausage is simmering, mix 1.5 cups milk and 1 can of cream of mushroom soup together.

While things are cooking, make sure the baby is pushing a baby doll around . It helps :)

When pasta is done, put the pasta, 1/2 cup cheese, sausage and 1/2 cup french fried onions together with the soup/milk mixture.

Mix it all together, and pour it in a 9x13.  Cover with foil and bake at 375 for 30 minutes.  After 30 minutes, uncover it and top it with an additional 1/2 cup of cheese and 1 cup onions (I just kind of toss it on there - I don't measure).  Bake for an additional 3-5 minutes.... just watch it... don't let the onions burn!  It comes out hot and bubbly and delicious.

This is fantastic in the Fall OOOOOR on a Summer day that you're pretending is Fall :)

Now..... show me what you got!!!

ALSO - I posted another bloggers post below.  It spoke DIRECTLY to me and all you mamas need to read it.  NOW! :)
