Our Weekend

For me the weekend starts Friday as soon as I have all of the kiddos home with me :)  This past Friday was no exception and we officially kicked off the weekend with some cuddles, milk and Higglytown Heroes...

G's summer wardrobe is out in full force and I am LOVING it!

Friday night I whipped up two dozen of these pretties for a baby shower a friend was hosting.  As of right now I'm keeping my recipe under wraps :)

After the kiddos went to bed I started pulling together outfits for our Spring pics the next morning.  We had to be out of our door no later than 7:30 (ACK!) so I had to be as organized as possible.  I posted the pic below on Instagram and got a FIRESTORM of comments about my "Cowboy Boots vs. Wellies".  I decided to bring both pairs but ended up walking out the door without the Wellies by accident. OOOPS!

We got to the photoshoot location on time (thank goodness!) and had a great time with Kelly.

The rest of Saturday I spent cleaning, grading papers and taking a nap. hahaha  In the late afternoon the boys walked down to Gibi and Haha's house and G and I decided to run a couple of errands and deliver some hugs and a venti frappuccino to Dave at work.  May is NUTSO at the Country Club and Dave is a total trooper.  He worked until 2:30 a.m on Saturday morning and was up at 6:30 to help me get everyone ready for pics.  Then he worked all day Saturday until about 2 a.m. on Sunday as well.

My girl :)

The boys got home from Gibi and Haha's and it was full-on Ninja turtle time :)

Sunday morning G was not feeling the pic :) Probably has something to do with the fact that she normally naps 9 - 11 and we leave for church about 9:15.  Poor tired baby :(

Presley and G share a similar love for bright colors, big bows and ruffles.  LOVE!!!

Sunday afternoon we met our Bible Fellowship Group at the park at MCA for a family picnic.  G was READY to get her picnic on :)

We had a great turnout and it was so much fun to get to hang out, eat and let the kids get disgustingly dirty :)

Sweet Bowen :)

Nixon and Linley

Such sweet girls!

My kids like to eat :)

LOVE the Reyes family!!!

Some of my favorite girls!!!

Luke found a caterpillar!

Lawson was FEARLESS on the slide!

Owen wasn't having any fun at all :)

Big boys... I'm having visions of this same group in 10 years. hahaha

Smith was channeling his inner Spider Man :)

Mason and Scott playing catch.

Random Scott Powell story.... Scott was our Sunday school teacher YEARS ago.  He and his wife moved and we had a big going away party for him and we had shirts made that said Scott Powell is my Homeboy.  About a year later, they ended up moving back and he's our teacher again.  Two years ago for homecoming (I was pregnant with Griffin) I busted out the shirt for Nerd Day :)

Griffin spent her time toddling around mooching food off everyone :)

Latest round of baby girls!

G TOTALLY wanted to hang with the big boys.  I have a feeling that this will be her for the rest of her life :)

If they won't let her play, she'll sit in the goal and ruin their game. hahaha

My kids were sticky, sandy, sweaty and exhausted.  It was perfection.

We got home and immediately threw all three crazies in the tub and I managed to end the weekend with a pic that completely sums up our life right now :)

Hope y'all had a fun weekend with your families and that Monday wasn't too painful :)  I only have two more Mondays at school until Summer!!! WOO HOO!!!

  1. I love your weekend recap post!! The cuteness of your three kids is out of control. And you wearing your Scott Powell shirt...classic. ;)

  7. Love that you have a great group of friends from church that make the effort to hang out. That picture of your two friends, the one really looks like Shay's twin! Can you just share your recipe for the frosting and a video on how you pipe it on the cupcakes? Purty please?

  8. I love this so much!!!! Typical weekend but it screams something so special.

  9. What a fun/busy weekend! That photo of them in the tub is perfection!!! You must frame it and hang it in the bathroom :)

  10. That bathtub pic is frame able. I'd put it in the bathroom if I were you. SO stinkin' cute.

  11. You are truly blessed to have such a great group of church friends!!!
