Favorite Things - February

Today is seriously one of my favorite days of the month! I LOVE checking out everyone else's Favorite Things.  I also love that they're $10 or less, so I can add them to my groceries at Target guilt free :)

So many of y'all mentioned the EOS lip balm last month that I tried it out and LOVE it!!!  This whole series was worth it just for me to find that lip balm :)

Anyway, this month I'm talking about nail polish.  I love me some bright polish, but decided to tone it down this last time around and so far I'm loving it!

Sidenote... I am totally self conscious about my "old lady" hands.  I come by them naturally (thanks, mom and Oma! hahaha), so it's big that I have TWO pics of them.  That's how much I love the polish.  Ignore the wrinkles... focus on the glitter :)

I started off with one coat of THIS super inexpensive wet n wild polish that I picked up at WalMart.

And then I added two coats of Revlon 261 Sparkling that you can find HERE.

I am a TOTAL sucker for glitter polish.  LOVE IT!  I finished it off with an OPI top coat and called it done!  I feel like the glitter polish holds up well and I'm hoping (fingers crossed!) that having the base coat MIGHT make it not a total disaster to take off.  We shall see!

Next up I'm breaking the rules... but I'm that passionate about the item... so I'm going for it.
If you follow me on Instagram then you've seen that I'm having a love affair with flowy printed pants.  I get mine from Hippie Chick and although they have limited ones available now (a couple of pairs of smalls and XS in two styles), Ariele has assured me that more are coming.

In case you need photographic proof... brace yourself for lots of messy buns and denim jacket pics :)

I'm pretty sure that these are traditionally a spring/summer item... but I'm a weirdo and I wear them the minute I can stand wearing flip flops (which is usually around 50 degrees).  I don't like wearing them with normal flats for some reason, but love them rolled at the waist with sandals and then unrolled with wedges.

I wore a pair to brunch on Sunday and Mason comes in my room and goes, "I wear jammies to lunch, too, Mommy????" :)  Yes, Mason... they're pretty much fancy jammies that are appropriate to wear outside of the house.  Amen.

I wore a damask pair to school last week and one of my AWESOME fellow teachers was rockin' some Hippie Chick pants as well!  So of course we made one of the 7th graders take our picture.  I'm pretty sure all the kids thought we were "super cool" (and by super cool I mean lame-o moms wearing crazy pants). :)

A couple of Sundays ago I wore a chevron pair with a brown shirt to church...

And today I wore my favorite pair to school with a black tunic tee from Anthropologie and the denim jacket that Sheaffer put on the map :)

This was me wearing my original pair back in January.

I promise I'll keep y'all posted on when new stock comes in - but after I order my pairs :) hahaha

Now link up and show everyone your favorites this month!  It can literally be anything.  Seriously.  Last month I shared a sandwich cutter. Can't wait to read everyone's posts!!!

  1. If you like glitter, you need to try Ruby Wing! I got a sample of it in my birchbox this month, it's nail polish that changes color outside! I KNOW!! IT"S AWESOME!! I live in apparently the north pole, aka Indiana, and despite being under feet of snow, my polish changes color when i go outside!

  10. Thanks for hosting!! Those pants are so cute :) I am a fan of glitter polish as well but the taking off steers me away from it. Please report back if the base coat does the trick :)
