Monday, April 29th

Dave had a golf tournament today, so it was just me and all three monkeys in the morning :)
Griffin was bright eyed...

... and Mason was all about saying CHEEEEEEEEEESE!

I snapped a quick pic of the roses on the pergola on my patio... CRAZY right now!

Today was a "snow day" that we never used, so Luke was home from school.  The boys played together and then Dave came home and took Mason to Miss Lisa's house.  Mason is having a bit of a "rough" time with the transition to being the middle child... that said, we're trying to keep his little routine the same every day.

Mark and Diana gave the boys this super cool "marble maze" thing for their birthdays and since Mason (aka "the wrecking ball") was out for the day I thought it would be a great time for Luke to build and play without any interruptions.

The toy is RIGHT up his little engineering alley :)

Luke wanted my help with building a design "just like the picture on the box" so Griffin sat with us and watched us build...

She looks highly entertained, doesn't she???
My dad says that she looks like Carmen Miranda with her giant headband :)

Luke showing Griffin how to work the little windmill on one of the pieces...

"Look mommy, isn't she just so KA-YUTE???"

Sunday, April 28

We started Sunday off bright and early with family pictures at EIGHT A.M.!  Eight, people!
We somehow managed to get everyone dressed, ready, fed and were there on time.  Mason was a TOTAL mess when we got there (think full on tantrum), but all hope is not lost as I totally trust Kelly's ability to pull out something beautiful from our chaos :)

After pictures everyone was wiped.  Griffin sported some ruffled leggings and a monogrammed onesie for naptime :)

Luke wanted to get in some sister time...

All swaddled up with nowhere to go:

Up from nap and ready to stretch!

This came out of Luke's shorts pocket and it MADE MY DAY! On Saturday, Dave took the boys to the library and Luke looked up where to find Lego books :)

Sweet girl snuggles...

Sunday afternoon Griffin was lookin' super cute...

... while the boys played games on my phone.

Baby cross eyes :)

Mason wanted in on the Boppy photo op action as well...

Last Couple of Days

Friday morning Dave took Luke to school and Mason and I got in a little snuggle time while Griffin napped.  Mason's doing really well, but he's definitely missing his mama a bit.  It's hard since he doesn't really understand what's going on, but feels the effects of it (if that makes any sense at all).  He doesn't really understand WHY I can't hold him while I'm feeding Griffin, but he gets upset that I can't.  I've been trying to make some extra time for sweet snuggles with him this week.

After the boys were all gone, Griffin and I packed up and headed to Sam's.

It was a BIG trip (I hadn't been to Sam's in FORVER since it was hard at the end of my pregnancy), and there was barely room for everything with the carrier in the cart as well.

Sam's wore us both out :)

Saturday morning Dave packed the boys up and they went to the library...

Griffin and I hung out at home, napped and caught upon some much needed sleep :)

Gibi came over in the evening and we went on a walk... Mason was being Mason and I caught him mid-tantrum at being told to stay on the sidewalk.  It's tough being two.

The other exciting thing that happened was getting to see a few sneak peeks from Griffin's newborn session!

'
I can't wait to see the rest next week!

Speaking of pictures, we have our family pictures tomorrow morning at 8:00 (EEEK!) and tonight I tried Griffin's dress on her... it's WAY bigger than I anticipated (it's GAP 0-3 months so I thought we'd be fine), but I think she'll look cute nonetheless.

Thursday, April 25th - Luke's Spring Program

I don't want to jinx anything, but Griffin has slept for 6 and then 3 hour stretches for the last TWO nights!  I fed her Wednesday night at 7:30 and she didn't wake up again until 1:30.  Then she slept again from 2:15 - 5:30.  The best part??? Dave got the boys ready for school and Lisa's house and I got to sleep until 8:30! GLORIOUS!  Griffin took her morning nap in the mamaroo - she LOVES it!

Griffin and I had to run a couple of errands, one of which was surprising Gibi at work with a Chai Tea Latte for her birthday!

After errands, Rachel and her boys stopped by for a bit and then it was nap time again.  Homegirl rocked a cute headband with her jammies. Duh!

Rachel brought super cute PINK mini cupcakes and since they were mini I figured I could have two, right???

Griffin and I dressed and ready to go to Luke's Spring Music Program:

Before we left for school, I wanted to take a quick picture of Luke.  I told him to stand still and smile nicely and this is what I got...

Finally!!!  (and look how tall he is!!!)

and back to his silly self :)

Griffin came to the program with us:

... Luke wanted to fix her bow :)

Luke waiting with his class, Griffin chillin' during the performance and PreK and Kindergarten getting ready to perform:

Waiting to perform is exhausting:

They also had some spring art on display and Luke was proud to show off his butterfly:

Haha came straight from the golf course to watch Luke-Man perform:

Luke-man is my big helper/manual labor.  He LOVES to push the stroller and I LOVE to let him...

And here's a video of his performance:

Can't believe that the Spring Program has already come and gone!  Didn't I JUST do a post on his Christmas program??? Time is going WAY too fast.
