Insta Week

I tried out a new cupcake recipe for the boys birthday party and LOVED it! I left out the raspberry filling for the party, but will definitely be making filled cupcakes again soon.

A lovely Spring morning in North Texas... 28 degrees called for Uggs, my favorite giant scarf and hot tea from Starbucks.

I've been working like a crazy person to keep up with Slightly Askew. Here are a few of my recent projects...

Mason finishing up my morning cup of tea :)

Mr. Keyes teaches High School science at MCA and is known for his golf club.  I snapped this of him in carpool one morning because nothing says "Move Along" like a nine iron :)

Bath night!  Is there room for a third little hiney in the tub??? :)

"Daddy... I tuck!"

Luke had an accident in the middle of the night (a super rare occurrence), and he ended up in our bed (because who wants to put on new sheets at 2:00 a.m?!?!) and I got to wake up to this sweetness.  LOVE!!!

Working on his Lego sticker book while we wait at Starbucks...

Daddy helped at centers and texted me this picture of Luke hard at work :)

Another cute blog project...
Luke had an Easter Egg hunt at school and I got to go watch.  I thought it was so smart... every kid brought in 11 eggs numbered 1 - 11.  Rather than each kid just grabbing 11 eggs, they had to fine one of each number.  It made the hunt last longer and was like a puzzle for the kids.

When we were leaving school, Luke just HAD to show me his Spiderman moves on the playground :)

We had to make a trip to WalMart for birthday party supplies and couldn't leave without checking out the fish...

I was being extra nostalgic one night and came across these pictures of Luke and Mason at this time last year.  I can't believe how much they've grown!!!

I had Good Friday off and used the day to get ready for our Pirate Party on Saturday.  The day was PACKED with prep... but thankfully I had two big helpers :)

Lookin' serious and playing with cars :)

Nesting is still in FULL FORCE, and I was crossing projects off my to-do-list including wrapping presents for all the April birthdays coming up...

Super cute pirate PJs out and ready for the party...

Since the party started at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday I thought it would be better to set up on Friday night than wait for Saturday morning.  As always, setup ended up taking WAY longer than the original hour I had anticipated and Dave and I were up at the club until 11:30 p.m. blowing up balloons, setting up tables and getting everything ready.

Dave texted this to me on the morning of the party (I was up at the club finishing things off)... our boys ready to PAARRRRRRRTY!

We had blown up over 100 balloons and I didn't mind getting rid of the latex ones, but these 48" mylar ones are still hanging around our house.

As I'm sure everyone is already aware, I am LOVING all the girl clothes :)  Don't get me wrong... I love shopping for my little guys too, but the selection is limited and you can only get so excited over t-shirts and shorts.  I picked up this outfit for Griffin and can't wait to put her in it!

Dave texts me pics of Mason every morning (since I don't always see him before I leave) and I LOVE it! Sweet, sleepy boy eating oatmeal.

Luke's page out of his class "kite day" book...

Throwback Thursday - Dave and I in 1999 at the Meyerson when I performed a Broadway series with the Metropolitan Winds...

They had an event at the country club with a popcorn bar, and what happens to the extra popcorn?!?!?!  It ends up on my kitchen counter, of course!

Saturday morning cartoons with my two favorite people:

This past Saturday was the first Saturday of the month which meant it was a Home Depot project day.  The boys set off bright and early to make a bird feeder!

While the boys ran errands and built bird feeders I stayed home and worked on Slightly Askew projects.  I took a break to cross something off my "nesting list" and clean out a couple of my purses.  I've been switching back and forth between a couple of different ones and when I dumped them out I found a collection of Hot Wheels cars, a couple packages of crackers and a specimen container with Luke's stitches inside.  #boymom
