In the Dog House

Last Sunday afternoon Haha called to see if Luke could come down the street and help him work on Motley's dog house (Motley is Mark and Diana's puppy). If by help he meant, "sit in the dog house, play and eat chips" then I think Luke helped A LOT!

Check out homeboys BLUE eyes!

Dave and I walked down the street with Mason to check on the progress and Mason was intrigued :) It won't be long before Mason's out there with a paintbrush and hammer as well (although at this rate it'll probably be a lawn chair and plate of chips!)

Luke had THE BEST TIME EVER helping Haha :)

Movie with Friends

Luke asked to watch the CARS movie before bed and wanted to know if he could invite a "few" friends :) Please also take note that he took the pillowcase off and is laying inside of it as a sleeping bag...

Can't believe this little man is going to be 4 tomorrow!!!

Spring Planting

These pictures are actually from the week before Spring Break - I was at WalMart picking up a few things and came across these $0.99 planting kits and so I picked up two - sunflowers and parsley. Luke helped me take the "growing medium pellet", add water and get the dirt ready. He was AMAZED that the little pellet turned into ALL THIS DIRT! :)
After the dirt was ready, we put it in the two pots, planted the seeds and covered them up with the remaining dirt.
About 10 days later this is what our sunflowers looked like (we had so much dirt that we were able to plant a second cup of sunflowers!)
... And here's our parsley! In the garden under the kitchen window he and I also planted garlic and onions - and this PERFECT weather has been helping them grow like CRAZY!

Painting

Spring Break was pretty much a BUST for me - sinus infection, allergies and pink eye GALORE. ICK. I did manage to pull out a couple of fun Pinterest-inspired crafts and activities for the boys like this homemade sidewalk paint. It was cornstarch, water and food coloring - VERY basic and fun.
While Luke was outside playing, Mason stayed inside and WAS NOT happy about it!
Luke decided to paint the fence as well :)
Mason joined us out in the sunshine and was MUCH happier :)

I can't wait to try these again - but out on the driveway so we can have a big painting sufrace.

Last Sunday - Mason

Here are a few pictures of our soon-to-be 11 month old! This sweet boy has turned into quite the little ham :) His very first tooth popped through this past Wednesday and he's growing up WAY too fast.

Last Sunday - Luke

Last Sunday was GORGEOUS and so we tried to snap a few pictures after Church. We have to use reverse psychology on Luke these days and so this is his response to me telling him, "Whatever you do... DON'T look at Mommy and smile" :) I can't believe that this little guy is about to be 4!!!

Shark Coat

A few weeks ago I blogged about Luke wearing his shark costume all day long, well - I really did mean ALL day long. When I was getting pictures off my phone I came across these of him walking to Gibi's house (earbuds in, of course) wearing his shark costume as a coat :)

Sick and Sweet

We've had our fair share of weird viruses at our house lately, and the pictures below show that even though Mason was feverish and obviously not feeling good - he was still as snuggly as ever (except when he was crying on the floor - which was pretty much anytime he wasn't in someone's arms or on a lap. hahaha)

All Smiles

Story Time

Story time with Gibi :)

Sharing

Up until about Christmas time Mason was pretty much a "non issue" for Luke. He stayed out of his way, was relatively unintrusive and minded his own business. Since then, however, Mason has become mobile and not only mobile on the floor, but able to pull up onto places that used to be Luke's "safe zone". Luke's struggling with sharing with his brother mainly because Mason's sole purpose is to "destroy and annoy". He crawls over, pulls up, wreaks havoc and then moves on. I took these pics with my iPhone so they're not the greatest quality, but I think they pretty much illustrate our struggles with sharing perfectly. :)

The last picture cracks me up! Luke is a fabulous big brother and Mason absolutely ADORES him! I can't wait for the day when the two of them actually "play" together :)

Long Week

Last week was a BUSY week for me at school. It was the last full week of our grading period and when Friday night came around I was WIPED! Dave got home from work around 10:00 and found Luke and I asleep in his bed. My plan was to read him a story, but he asked me to "snuggle" and next thing you know it's 10:00. :)

Too Good

This was too good not to share. Not sure if y'all are watching The Bachelor, but if you are, hopefully this will make you smile :)
