Quotable

I think I'm going to have to copycat Abby's "Quote of the Day" post idea and start posting daily "Luke Quotes", because I'm telling y'all - the things that come out of that boy's mouth!!!  Here are a few examples from the last couple of days...

While brushing his teeth tonight:
"Mommy, I think that someday I'd like to have a spaghetti party. With lots of babies and daddies.  When the babies start throwing spaghetti sauce we can have the daddies use Huggies Hawaiian wipes to clean them off.  It'll be so much fun!"


I was completely confused, but after some further conversation, figured out that there must be a Huggies commercial where there's a "spaghetti party".  Wow! The power of advertising! Can I get an Amen?!?!

At the dinner table:
"Mommy, I can't help it! Every time I take a drink I burp.  It means I'm getting old."

After reading the tickle monster book:
"Don't worry mommy, I'm not really the tickle monster.  I'm Luke.  You'd be really sad if you didn't have a Luke!"

At breakfast on Tuesday:
"When I grow up I want to marry Gibi.  One - because I love her a lot.  Two - because then you won't be able to tell me what to do."

Later on Tuesday (after I baked cookies):
"Mommy, I think I made a little mistake.  When I grow up I'd like to marry you... because you make the BEST Cookies!"

This afternoon:
"Wow, Mommy! You sure do look pretty in those comfies!!!" 
(comfies are what we call our "sweats")

Last week:
Luke: "Gibi, would you like to try one of my spiral noodles?"
Gibi: "No thank you, Luke.  But I appreciate you asking"
Luke: "But Gibi, the only way you can find out if you like new foods is by trying them.  You should always take at least one bite of a new food"

Last week:
"Wow, Gibster - you really went to TOWN on your noodles"


Wednesday night:
"Mommy, I said I'd like some chocolate milk.  DO YOU UNDERSTAND?!?!?!"
