Fun With Gibi

We are soooooo blessed and thankful that my mom watches Luke for us during the day and it absolutely makes my day when I get a text message with a picture showing me some fun activity they're doing. Here are a few from the past couple of weeks:

Taking a walk in the wagon with a snack AND Scooter...

Playing with a bucket of soapy water in the driveway...

An after school yogurt date...

Rest/snack time on the couch...

A card game after lunch...

A quick bath in the laundry tub...

Luke LOVES spending his days with Gibi and it's easy to see why! ;)

Worker Man

Luke now refers to himself (constantly) as "Worker Man".
"Luke-Man, it's time for dinner"... he keeps playing with his puzzles
"Worker Man, it's time for dinner..." Drops the puzzle pieces and runs to the kitchen :) The bathtub in our guest bathroom has been broken and he's been determined to "fix it myself". Thankfully he had a tool set and he knew how to use it...

Over the past few weeks we've heard statements like "Worker Man loves pizza", "Please read a story to Worker Man" and "Worker Man peed in the potty!"
The tub is now fixed (after a trip to Worker Man's favorite place - Home Depot) and a little help from Worker Man Daddy :) He's looking for other things to fix and is available for hire, he'll work for Capri Suns and pretzels - if you need a really cute Worker Man just let me know :)

A Chilly Morning

About two weeks ago we were teased with a little taste of fall weather and when Luke and Dave set off to run errands, Luke-Man needed a sweatshirt... I thought it would be a good time to take a few cute "fallish" pictures and Luke thought it would be a good time to dig in the dirt...

I realize that my child has a huge booger in the picture below :), but I'm on the laptop and HATE editing pictures in Photoshop on my laptop. Hopefully at some point I'll have some extra time to edit out his huge snot bubble, but for now - here he is... unedited, adorable and snotty. hahaha
Typically I wouldn't post booger pictures, but out of the approximately 75 pictures I took, I had exactly 3 where he was looking at me and not digging in the dirt :)

Date Night

A couple of weeks ago, Erika, Ebby Lee and Nixon came over on a Saturday night to play and eat pizza and Luke was super excited to be on a "dinner date" with Ebby Lee :)

August 31 - First Day of School

Luke's first day of school was back on August 31st and he was an absolute model student :)
I was teaching, so I couldn't be there to see him off (or take pictures), but Daddy and Gibi took care of everything and photographed him settin goff for his first day for me... "One more picture, Daddy and then let's go!!!"
Walking in with Gibi:
Posing by a big leaf before heading to his class:

Sweet boy :)
Running down the hall to the "yellow room":
Playing in his classroom:

Bag and nap mat ready for the day!
So far school has had it's ups and downs... he has a fabulous day one day and a rough one the next. I think he's adjusting to the schedule (he typically naps 1:00 - 4:00 at home and at school he goes down from 12:30 - 1:30), as well as not having undivided attention 100% of the time :) We love his teachers and school in general and are looking forward to a great school year!

We've gradually been reintroducing cheese back into Luke-Man's diet and he is LOVING it!!!

"Hold Them Both!"

We've been hanging out with Erika, Ebby Lee and Nixon on Saturday nights since Tab and Dave are working. This Saturday night we hung out at their house, let the kids play and ate dinner.

After dinner Luke held Nixon...

... And when Ebby Lee sat next to them he wanted to "hold them both" ;)

I know the pictures are a little dark and blurry, but I thought they were too funny not to post. ;)
