Packed and Ready...

Mother's Day Out starts tomorrow and we are packed and ready...
I'll be at work when he goes to school, but I'm trusting Gibi and Daddy to take LOTS of pictures of Mr. Man for me!

M.I.A. for Good Reason :)

If you've been curious about why I've been M.I.A from the blog for a while it's because the first two weeks of in service and school are absolute CRAZINESS! Plus, I was on our High School Retreat for three days last week. I spent my time having late-night girl talk with my cabin, showering in a daddy-long-legs infested shower, eating lots of camp food and hanging out with sweet students like these......and photogenic seniors like this...
... and sweet students like these...

Competing in ridiculous competitions like this...
... and this...
... and playing camp games like this...
... and this... (yes, they are passing a banana between their feet and the person at the end had to peel it and eat it!)
I was helping out with MCA's Extreme Makeover...

... getting to know my students better and...
... most importantly getting to spend time with them doing this...
I feel so blessed to not only get to teach what I love, but to teach at a place where we're encouraged to show our students God's love :) It was an exhausting and exhilarating few days, but I'm so glad I got to be a part of it.

Big Helper

Yesterday we were assembling s new TV stand for our family room and Luke wanted to be a "big helper".

He "helped" by putting the bowls that we were using to hold various screws and nails onto Daddy and Haha's heads and yelling HATS!!!

Then he put a "worker man hat" on himself as well.

Later on he got out his hammer and helped...

PGA Here He Comes!

On Monday Luke went and played his very first round of golf. Dave, HaHa and Mark went out early and played 9 holes.

Look at that red face! Just like his mama - not made for the heat!!!

Say it ain't so!

I've been in teacher in-service all week which means that blogging has taken a back seat to updating my syllabi, sitting through technology training, and beginning the groundwork for implementing a new classroom management system. Sounds exciting, right??? Not nearly as exciting as sitting at the pool with my little guy, but fun in the sense that the beginning of school means that FALL IS ON IT'S WAY! YAY!
I have a "blog list" on my desk with posts that need to be complete and since I'm short on time (and blogger takes FOREVER to upload pictures) I decided to do this one today because it was only two pictures. :) When Dave got home from Germany (yes... it was about 3 weeks ago, I told you I was behind!) Luke had made him a welcome home banner. Here are my two guys and the banner...Please check out Luke's amazing art skills... all his stickers go in groups :)

Boys of Summer

Prepare yourself for LOTS of pictures of two of the cutest little guys EVER! Sheaffer and I have been taking advantage of the summer break by heading to the pool A LOT with our boys and we've had an absolute BLAST!
We dubbed this the "summer of sharing" and we've made a little progress in sharing our toys the boys have had no problem sharing snacks and the mamas have enjoyed sharing stories and time in the sun :)

Carter was being a ham for the camera and here are a few of my pictures to prove it...
Check out those EYELASHES!
More cheesin'

Luke is obviously very high-strung at the pool (NOT!)
The boys also shared some kisses (my favorite part of this picture is the food all over both of their faces!)

Luke looks SOOOOOOOOOOO big!!!

Mouth full of nutter butters:

We have had sooooo much fun hanging out with Carter and Sheaffer this summer and can't wait until next summer when we can do it all again! :)
