Binoculars

I've been trying to do a craft/activity every day before lunch and yesterday we made binoculars ;) I have better pictures I'll post later, but for now a cell phone pic...

He LOVES them!!! He's been looking at everything through his "noclars" ;)

Cookie Box

Some of my earliest memories are of going to my Oma's house and making a bee-line for the aqua-colored tin on top of her refrigerator... Because it was always FULL of cookies (specifically, arrowroot tea biscuits). Back in college i mentioned to Oma how much I loved the tin and she (obviously not understanding my attachment to it) let me take it home with me. It's sat empty on top of my refrigerator for years now until I asked my mom if she would mind keeping it stocked with similar cookies at her house. Now, everytime Luke goes to Gibis house he makes a bee-line for her pantry and helps himself to cookies from the "cookie box" as he calls it.

Getting cookies out of that tin at my grandmas house is one of my fondest memories... And I hope that now it'll be one of Lukes!

Today at the zoo you...

Last week I took a day off work and we headed to the Ft. Worth Zoo (we were trying to get a trip in before the weather got CRAZY hot!) We felt like this was the first time Luke really "got" it. In the past he's enjoyed looking at the animals and has had a great time, but this trip he was excited and naming animals and running around like a wild man screaming "ZOO!".
Here are a few scrapbook pages I did using some of our pictures from the day - I am soooooooooooo glad that I'm done with school this week because now I'll have time to do some of my "creative stuff"... like make more scrapbook pages and work on some blog designs (sorry Rachel and Shannon! They're coming!!!)

Jackson's Bday Party

On Saturday night we headed to The Little Gym for Jackson Pogue's 2nd Birthday Party. There were LOTS of little boys and LOTS of running around :)
Luke-man had an absolute BLAST running around - the following directions part was another story :)
He was REALLY REALLY REALLY excited about the bubbles!
After some serious play time it was time to chow down
And try to blow into our party horn thingies (I have NO clue what these are called! ha!)
Luke ate TWO pieces of pizza and had the face to show it! The birthday boy blowing out the candles on his ADORABLE cake:

MORE BUBBLES!
Carter!

When the party was over, I attempted to get a picture of Luke and Jackson... and believe it or not, this was the best I could get! :)

Raviolli...

A few nights ago Luke had some Chef-Boyardee (I have no idea how to spell that!) raviolli for dinner. I stepped out onto the back patio to water some of my flowers and when I came back inside, this is what I saw...

Needless to say, we went straight from the high chair to the sink :)
