My Own Christmas Home Tour

I was going to try and get this post together and join up with BooMama or The Nester for their Christmas Tour of Homes, but I didn't get my act together quick enough. So, I've decided to do my own, independent Christmas Home Tour. If you missed the others, feel free to join in on this one :)
This is the tree in our kitchen. Y'all know I love a good bargain and I'm always on the hunt for goodwill treasures, WELL, the gold garlandy stuff that is going all around the tree I found at Goodwill in a trash bag for $2.99. I couldn't really tell how great the stuff was inside until I got it home and saw that there were 10 strands of gold leaf garland with the tags from Neimans still on them (and $11.99/each I might add!). The burgundy "filler ornaments" are either from Big Lots or WalMart and the glittery fruit and other picks I bought this season at Hobby Lobby (yes, this is when, after a lady asked me if I was going to buy ALL the glitter fruit, I proceeded to dump the entire bin into my cart and politely reply 'yes, I am')
It was the pregnancy hormones talking, but I think they spoke well this time if I say so myself...
Tree, mantle and messy art table :)

Please excuse my Christmas Card shipping center on my kitchen table :)
I really wanted to do something "kitcheny" in the kitchen this Christmas, so I decided to busy out some other glittery fruit I happened to have and mixed it in with some ornament/favors from our wedding and voila! Look at that Chunky Monkey with Santa! (2008)

I posted last year about some funny family santa photos and this is still one of my favorites :) Entry table
We received this nativity as a wedding gift and it's probably my favorite thing to get out each year. LOVE it!

Family room (and yes, that's a heating pad on the floor... my sciatic nerve has been acting a fool and so I've been resorting to sitting on that for pretty much the entire evening... and it was hurting too much for me to want to bend over and pick it up to put it away for this picture. hahahaha)
Last year I posted about some of my favorite ornaments, and this year we got to add a few more. The Homestead from our trip in November and of course, a Red cup!
My mom gives each of us a Christmas ornament every year and Mason already got his very first one!
