On Monday night we hit the pool for the first time this summer and Luke had a blast. He has always loved his baths and has never minded getting water in his face or anything like that, and so I guess it wasn't too surprising that he we couldn't get him out of the water :) It wasn't very hot when we went and after about 45 minutes in the water his lips started to turn blue so we figured it was time to take him out - he threw a royal fit - which I can only assume means that he was having fun! Since then we've been to the aquatic center and the beach club (pics to come) and he seems to love the water more each time. 
Random Swim Diaper Comment: I was super surprised at how expensive swim diapers were! But I just read that you can machine wash them and resuse them... has anyone tried this??? I'm going to give it a shot and see what happens - I'll keep ya'll posted :)
I stumbled on your blog when surfing from a friend of a friends' blog. I love all of your great photos and stories about Luke. I have a 16 month old little boy, so they have a lot in common. Anyway, I too thought swim diapers were crazy expensive. I just bought two Bummis Swim diapers and LOVE them! They work the same way as disposable swim diapers but they are reusable. I bought two so in case Owen poops in one, we can just stick it in a Ziplock and put on a fresh one at the pool. Then, when we get home, we just hose off the poopy diaper:) Works great!
