Check out the link...

The past few days have been great... Luke seems to be developing a regular sleep schedule at night (10 pm feeding, 3 am feeding, 7 am feeding) and is also developing more consistent sleep, eat, play patterns. It's amazing what 4 hours of continuous sleep can do for you! :)
He has started making fists (ALL the time) and he looks like he's boxing anytime he's laying on his back. He's smiling and cooing more every day and I swear that Dave get's an unfair amount of smiles :)
Jeremy Rowland came over on Sunday and took some fantastic photos of our family in "everyday life" that I'll post on here as soon as I get the CD. In the meantime, check out the link http://jprowland.zenfolio.com/p838090436 (password luke0401). His pictures definitley put my daily snapshots to shame!
Looking intrigued sitting with his Gibi
I had to go to MCA yesterday to do my textbook inventory, Luke, as you can see, was highly entertained.

Uncle Matthew and Aunt Stefan picked out this onesie for Luke because they know that Luke thinks fairly highly of himself and tends to smile any time that you ask him, "are you handsome?". As you can see, the shirt tends to conjure up a smile (and a giggle, see below) as well.

You can always tell if my mom (Gibi) has been over, because Luke's hair has that just been "spit slicked" look :)

Memorial Day Weekend, so far..

Here are a few pics from our Memorial Day weekend so far...

Luke sitting in Grandpa's chair... not so fun without Grandpa
Rambo... not so fun either :)
Helping daddy clean up...
... not so much fun

Swaddled and in his swing, much more fun
Buddah baby, check out those arm rolls

1, 2, 3, 4... I declare a foot war

Mom knit this hat and matching sweater before Luke was born, Dave said he looks like he has a mushroom on his head, I think he's adorable :)

Busy week...

I've been trying to keep up-to-date with my posting, but this week has been hectic to say the least. I've gone back to work to proctor my exams and it has been crazy! It's been great to get to see my students, but the grading and having to be at school at 7:30 has been kicking my hiney! :) Thankfully today I gave my last exam and tonight is graduation and then I'm done for the summer!

Luke is becomming more interactive every day! He is smiling and cooing and watching us as we walk in or out of a room. He's getting to be more predictable in his schedule and I think he's actually getting cuter... see for yourselves... :)

Sunday, May 18

Today was a fairly typical Sunday, church followed by Sunday School followed by grocery shopping. I did manage to make it up to MCA today to get my exams copied and ready for tomorrow and we had mom and dad over for enchiladas...
Ready for church
(it was kind of miraculous that we made it there on time since we didn't get up until 7:50 and we had to leave our house by 8:15!)

Resting after an eventful morning

They were "watching basketball" :)

Reading with Grandpa

We've recently dsiscovered that Luke loves books.
He stares at the pages and interacts with you when you describe the pictures.
Here are a couple of pictures and a video of Luke reading with Grandpa last night.

Family Resemblance???

Here are a couple of pics of Dave and I when we were younger which may help answer the family resemblance question. Unfortunately this is the only baby pic I have of Dave and he's already 1 year old in it and the three other pics are of me during my first week.

I think that Luke definitley has baby Dave's double chin and my wrinkley forehead :), what attractive qualities

Swaddlin'

Swaddling is our best friend... Luke absolutely loves to be swaddled.
It's amazing - he can be completely distraught and fussy and as soon as we lay him on the blanket and he knows he's going to be swaddled he settles down.
He got a new swaddle blanket yesterday and so I thought I'd take a couple of pictures of him trying it out last night :)

Mother's Day

This past Sunday was my very first Mother's Day! The day couldn't have been more special as Dave and I got to participate in the Parent/Child Dedication at church and then spend a good portion of the rest of the day with my family.
Luke gave me the cutest book for us to read together along with an adorable mug for all of my hot cocoa :) and Dave gave me a new Sid Dickens block (which won't be here until July... bummer). It was very sweet.

Before Parent/Child Dedication
