Who would have thought...

Who would have thought that I, a person who LOVES her sleep, would be rejoicing about 5 hours of uninterrupted sleep?!?!?! I certainly didn't think I would, but boy was I wrong. :)
Luke seems to be figuring out the whole "night is when we sleep" concept and has been surprising us with some long stretches of sleep. For example, Monday night he slept from 8:30 - 2:00 a.m. and last night from about 8:00 - 12:30! YIPPEE!!! I'm not going to jinx anything by saying that he's going to do this on a consistent basis, but am simply going to enjoy it! The only thing that would make it better is if I could accept that he's just sleeping longer and stop waking up every 30 minutes wondering when he's going to get up or if he's okay. :)
He's also been sleeping in his own room which I think has been more of a challenge for me than it's been for him, but I'm coping.
Luke has also come down with a pretty rough looking case of baby acne. I've been doing my research (if you can consider Google research) and I know it doesn't bother him, but it just looks like it hurts! I'm currently trying breastmilk to clear it up (supposedly breastmilk is like a miracle cure for pretty much everything - kind of like Windex in "My Big Fat Greek Wedding") and so I've been rubbing breastmilk all over the poor boys face, but if anyone has any other advice I am more than open to it.
Yesterday was fairly uneventful (other than the surprising amount of sleep)... Mark got home for the summer on Monday night so he came over yesterday to hang out with Luke (and me too, I guess) and we had a fairly mellow day.
Luke stayed at Gibi's house while Mark and I ran to WalMart and it was really odd to go out without him... I think it was the first time I've been anywhere in the past 6 months that no one has randomly talked to me! When I was pregnant I couldn't go anywhere without someone asking when I was due or whether I was having a boy or a girl and since Luke has been born it seems as though everyone stops to comment. It was really strange to go to WalMart and not talk with a complete stranger! I could totally relate to when Tori told us about when they went out to dinner for the first time without Lilly and she felt like announcing to everyone that she had a really cute baby at home :)
Anyway, here are a couple of pics from our fairly uneventful day...
Luke hanging out in his swing... this has recently become one of his favorite places to be

I really think that his eyes are getting bluer every day!
This video shows a couple of Luke's favorite things to do... burp and spit up :)
